If he were to come back to the NFL, he should come back as an offensive coordinator, do that for 2-3 years and maybe then try to get a HC job. Of course I know that wouldn't happen, but that would be the smart way to go and let him learn the ropes of the NFL a little better. He didn't even know how to structure training camp when he first came to D.C., I attribute our 7-9 record that year all to Marvin Lewis, he was basically the de facto head coach that year in my opinion. After Lewis left the team just crumbled with Spurrier on his own. Maybe Spurrier could succeed in the NFL someday, but right now he's got alot to learn and he would be better off going back to college. |
