The point is to basically push "statism" to a certain degree. That is why they want to negate Jefferson( a staunch anti federalist), and reinforce the cultural tenants of the Christian Right. If you are anti war, pro civil liberties you will be seen as being non American and a pinko commie. It is funny they want to list country music as a major cultural tenant of America and not hip hop. Both play to the lowest base of society and are really nothing more than affirming a mediocre existence, but country usually has a patriotic theme to it, while hip hop tends to be either about materialism or the tough existence living in the inner city.
