His contract status is signed original (first) round one year RFA tender, scheduled to be UFA in 2011. Pending, of course, the existence of free agency in 2011.

One of the many reasons that the compensation will be lower than I initially thought: he basically wasn't tied to the Saints beyond this year, and people knew his future was in NO. We won't be giving up more than the equivalent of a third rounder.
