Re: Would Joe Gibbs Be Considered The Greatest Coach If He Won SB 18?

Too me he is the best ever. He won 3 SB with one good QB (Joey T.) and 2 mediocre QB's. His 1983-84 team set an NFL record at that time for most points ever scored in a season, 3X 1K yard receivers, etc. His best coaching years were not winning SB's, they were his last year on Gibbs I, almost beat the 49ers in SF in the playoffs with an injury decimated team and took the Redskins to the playoffs after the tragic death of Sean Taylor during Gibbs II. Bill Walsh gets all the accolades for running the Paul Brown offense. Joe Gibbs in my biased opinion was the best coach ever!!!!!! You can throw in NASCAR success and professional Racquetball career. A true WINNER !!!!!!!

By the way, Walsh won 3 SB's too.
