Sure Gibbs II was not anywhere near any "greatest" category, but when you look at this team now w/another proven winner running the show, it's clear to me that Gibbs II had a difficult task before him. Like Shan, he took over after a failed experiment. He righted the ship in terms of getting the players to play hard, though he couldn't change the front office culture.
Looking back, I appreciate Gibbs II even more these days. He gave us the best 2 seasons we've had in a decade. |
