one of my concerns this year is turnovers, both offense and defense. Griffin had 12 fumbles last year, he lost 2 and we scored touchdowns on 2. I don't think that happens again. And our d will go for turnovers but hopefully they protect each other and don't consistently give up big plays while trying for that int.

On offense I see a more consistent passing game leading to a good running game and opening a lot of play action. Think back to CLE last year.

On defense it all starts up front with the 3 bigs and a healthy set if OLBs creating pressure on the QB forcing them to make mistakes.

The key to what we will accomplish on offense is III growing into the Kyle scheme with a mix of play action, zone read, and boots. If he doesn't "slump" (which honestly I don't see happening except for at the start of the '13 campaign as he becomes healthy) our offense and Morris will be just as competent and then some as they were last year. Top 5 for sure and I would almost be inclined to say top 3 in the mix with Den, NE, and NO.

Defense is simple create pressure with the front seven and make the offense's WR create space within the 3 sec window they will have before we are on top of the QB. With upgrades coming simply from our own team getting healthy and the additions in the draft they can be very formidable.

As long as those things happen on both sides of the ball I will say we are a NFC and Super Bowl contender heading into this year and beyond.

Re: Redskins News & Notes Chapter 6

I could make a case for a sophomore slump for both Wilson and Luck, but I think with the players that both teams have added they have a lot more help.

This is the only reason I see that the analysts are picking on our guys, but they are discounting the talent that we have in place that won the East last year and was holding onto a lead against the Seahawks heading into the 4th quarter of the wild card round of the playoffs with a one legged QB.
