When Gibbs came back the only people he could bring in were his old coaches. Gibbs didn't have 3 or 4 players tagging along that understood Gibbs coaching style who in turn could help relate to other players.

very good point, is there even 1 player left in the nfl that Gibbs coached in 81-93? I don't think so.
