Does it seem like the Chiefs are experiencing almost exactly what the Jets wound up doing under Edwards?

Seems like Herman Edwards has sluggish offenses wherever he goes. I think it has to do with a head coach who has a defensive coordinator's mentality -- 'Don't do anything aggressive offensively, just let the defense win the game.'

I was gonna echo ur thoughts on that one. It seems to me like Herm Edwards seems to be the problem in KC (along with Willie Roaf and Will Shields retiring). Those changes have impacted LJ's game negatively in a very substantial way. Plus i think Herm's jet's squads have always been underachieving for the talent that they've had. He seems like someone who can make a team good but not great (more of a coordinator type in my mind). I think LJ and LT, who also had a similar tiff with Phillip Rivers last week, are just frustrated and are voicing their opinions. The difference is that LT is doing it in a more polished way and not airing his dirty laundry out to the media. I also think that LT had the benefit of Marty ball that helped him break those records last year and rack up stats in previous years. Don't get me wrong i think he is a great player and probably the best active RB in the league BUT i think he is overrated in that sportswriters already crowned him as the greatest RB ever before his career was over. There are many factors that can dip a guys production down (other than his own skill set) and I think losing some key members of the coaching staff is the one that is affecting LT right now. Only time will tell if both these RB's can prove that they can have sustained success in this league. Only then can they be mentioned with the Walter Paytons, Jim Browns, and the Barry Sanders of this league.

I do not think that is true. People didn't cry racism when Denny Green was fired, when Art Shell was fired, etc.

In any event, I don't know how good he is, but he's dealing with a lot of issues. KC's offense used to rely on its O-line and QB. Trent Green is gone, Damon Huard isn't some stud, and Brodie Croyle is raw. KC's O-line is a shadow of what it used to be.

But they did. When Dennis Green was fired in Minnesota that was a huge issue (it wasn't in Arizona, I'll agree with you there).
How about when Dungy was fired in Tampa?
People still think Edwards is a good head coach, so he'll get the racism cry like Green did when he was fired in Minnesota.
Art Shell part 1 got a HUGE cry for it. Art Shell part 2, not so much.

Yes, Edwards is dealing with a lot of issues...he dealt with a lot of issues in NY too.

Almost every topic you've discussed this past couple of weeks alluded to race as an issue. It's time to clean up your act dude because it's getting repetitive, boring, tiring and quite frankly makes you look like a jackass.

Let's see, I've brought up fantasy stud/ duds, fantasy kickers, an apology thread, plus a slew of others, but I mentioned racism in direct relation to someone else bringing up racism in another thread, I said it was NOT racism, then said if you want to see racism look no further than the NBA (all in the same topic / thread). Then I mention it here as a reality (think it's not a reality, then why does the NFL have a minority hiring program) and you say I've alluded to race in "every topic you've discussed". It's been EXACTLY 2, and I only brought it up in one...this one.
So maybe it is you...DUDE...that needs to clean up your act and stop trying to attack people before you know what is actually going on. I understand race is a sensitive issue, and in no way were my comments in mallace. So I expect an apology for your remarks, and a little more respect from you for attacking before know what is going on. I understand you are young, but there are plenty of other young men (and women) on this site that pay more attention and use proper judgement and display respect for others without a biased exaggeration.

(also, I have over 5000 posts on this site, and have made a discussion about racism in exactly 2 threads...grow up)

The problem is KC is the average to below average QB, bad offensive line and terrible NFL wr's. Not Herm Edwards. I think Herm is a solid NFL HC. He has the respect from his players and I think he is well respected around the NFL. Herm is not an X and O guy. What he does is manage his people and let the OC and DC do their jobs.
