Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

You can see it now:

Snyder: Jim, the job is yours. Will pay you anything you want.

Mora: You sure? What about Williams

Snyder: F-him, never liked that guy only kept him on for Joe. Gave him the run around with 4 interviews and didn't even let him sleep over.

Mora: That's true, let me call my Daddy and ask him.

Snyder: Ok, please hurry, Greg keeps calling and I don't know what to say.

Mora: Daddy said no, thinks you're too short to be a good owner.

Snyder: It was Williams job all along only wanted you to have a spenda-night

Williams: Dan when do I start?

Snyder: Well can you come in for your 5th interview???????

so has JLC on skins insider. Said the family aspect was too much, would have to move for 3rd time in 3 years. Not surprising cause he's a west coast guy, but I was worried the danny would hook him w/big cash. glad that's over with!

Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

THis probably means Holmgren is leaning towards retiring.

Seriously, from some of the chatter, I was beginning to get worried that Mora would be the next coach. Sorry, he just doesn't do it for me.

Can we just announce G.Williams and move on?

Re: Jim Mora Jr. withdraws himself from consideration for Redskins HC job (update)

Qball:

Maybe the answer to your question is in your question.

Maybe the reason Danny Boy hasn't hired Gregg Williams yet is precisely because Danny Boy thinks that the Redskins are on the cusp of becoming a force in the NFC for the next few years - - and he keeps noticing that 40% winning record for Gregg Williams in Buffalo. Maybe that's why he keeps re-interviewing him; maybe he's looking for the same things in Williams that Gibbs saw when Gibbs anointed Williams as the "heir apparent".

Or maybe Williams hasn't been hired because Williams has made some demands that are beyond where Danny Boy wants to go? Time will tell. And more candidates will be interviewed...

By the way, please ignore any and all stories/statements about players endorsing coaches for the job. As long as there is even a ghost of a chance that Williams will be hired, it would be imprudent - to the point of career hara-kiri - for a player to say he thinks Gregg Williams is dumber than mincemeat even if that is exactly what the player thinks. These players aren't MENSA members, but they are smart enough not to piss off the guy who might be taking over the team for no good reason...

Ok how about naming Williams HC and bring in the "Ryan" who worked in Baltimore. Isn't Greggs defense basically the old Buddy Ryan system which I believe both sons are utilizing. Keep the Offensive side as is but put Saunders on notice that his offense better produce with who ever he decides to use a QB or he's out next year.

Re: Jim Mora Jr. withdraws himself from consideration for Redskins HC job (update)

You know what's sad is we have one of the greatest minds on Offense and the offense is sputtering. We have one of the greatest minds on Defense and it finds a way to sputter in the 4th quarter. Why can't we have the high flying scoring of the SB Rams and the steel defense of the SB Chicago bears?....wait....we have that but the wrong years. Lets try the 2000 Rams and the 86 Bears.

They also just said on the riggins show we were looking at Monty Kiffen as DC until he got an extension.
