Jim Mora Jr. withdraws himself from consideration for Redskins HC job (update)

Just read the latest WP article regarding Mora. I will ask the opinions of you all here. Do you see a schenario where Mora gets hired?

If that happens it would really be bad for the job Gibbs has done over 4 years.

If you were Williams would you be starting to get frustrated with the gossip on Mora? I'm sure he hears all the details from sources.

Thanks!

Why would be difficult to answer.

That's without searching - I just went with the 3 on the first page that had "Mora" in the title.

I watched the Falcons rise and then immediately detriorate under Mora. I hope the Skins steer clear of him.

Me too. Don't even know why Snyder is in love with him. I think he just likes the power of it all. Gibbs gone is already showing its affects. He held old Dan in check just by being there.

Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

Jim Mora has a different middle name and Vinny and him worked together in San Francisco and would fit the comfort zone that Snyder desires

What in the heck are you even talking about. Mora is a coach we are looking for a coach so he gets an interview. How does that say DS is in love with him? To me it says he is taking his time and interviewing all posable HC. What affects are you talking about? Waht has Danny done? Nothing and what do you know about what is going on? Nothing. This is a dumb thread based off of nothing so quit making up threads. In the beging I said there would be 5 to 10 rumor head coaching threads and I was wrong. I think there will be 10 to 15 rumor HC threads.

He flew out across the country to pick him up, had Mora sleep over him home, then gave him another interview over breakfast. That seems like alot to me. Whoa, you need to get laid dude, angry man!

Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

Don't be so quick to pass judgement on the interview process. This team is on the cusp of being a force in the NFC. This HC job has to be the most inviting of all the vacancies out there.

Snyder is being careful in this process and wants the right guy for the job, period.

And we don't know if he is waiting until after the Super Bowl. There may be candidates that are still in the playoffs that he cannot talk to yet and he may just be biding his time until those candidates are available for interviews.

Re: Jim Mora Jr.?

My theory on him getting hired would be:

He's got HC experience
He's young and commands respect
Has a winning record even if it isn't much
Is a good HC

I started thinking if Snyder changes his mind and hires Mora Jr. why would he do that? He looks at the Cowboys keeping Garrett (a young bright prospect for HC next year or the following) he looks at Williams (a little older) if he fails then What? If he picks Mora (also a young bright person w/ HC experience) he would also have a bright young up and coming coach to compete with the Cowboys in the long run. I think Mora failed in Atlanta because of Vick (great athlete but not much of a QB). Maybe this is a bunch of nonsense in my part.

See I don't think Mora commands respect. I think guys like Mike Singletary command respect. Mora? No thanks. I remember hearing a story about how he could not control DeAndelo Williams. Now that is not an easy thing to do but he seems too buddy buddy with the players if you ask me. He kind of reminds me of Pete Carroll. He'd make a great college coach. Plus that whole University of Washington ordeal. I mean the guy has an NFL job and goes on the radio lobbying for a college job? What the hell is that all about? I would stay far away from this guy.
