It will be interesting to see Mitt Romney campaign against this, provided that he or Sarah Palin, will surely get the nomination. This plan really tracks the recommendation of some of the old school Republicans like Bob Dole, yet it's been characterized as a government takeover. Either way November will be very interesting.
When "we don't negotiate with terrorist (democrats)" attitude is so prevalent among so many conservatives I don't think there is any hope. Anywho, Frum is really on a tear today.

I was talking to a buddy, who is a conservative, and he's going on and on about how David Frum isn't a real conservative, Bush was RINO, and this and that. I'm like you idiot, if Republicans won't listen to this guy they don't stand a chance in 2012 to unseat Obama. Not that he has all the answers, but this healthcare plan is Romney writ large, as much as he hates to admit it. It is.

LOL...I got the same exact buddy sitting a few cubical away. Poor guy was really upset today as if his team lost the Super Bowl or something and wouldn't hear any of Frum's articles. Is your buddy still enamored with Ronald "The Greatest Conservative Who Ever Lived" Reagan and the possibility of him rising from the grave like mine?

These guys have yet to figure out that 1) they're not in control, 2) Obama was more or less elected to do what he is doing, 3) Obama isn't as far left as they believe and is willing to work something out.

Oh well, they'll realize soon enough that Obama is a big mother f*cking deal. Hopefully after it's too late.

Damn, sounds like the same dude. But yeah, it's all about Ronald Reagan, which I can respect. But he governed during a very different era, and quite frankly, would have nothing to do with this bunch calling themselves Conservatives nowadays. He just wouldn't. Reagan wasn't an angry, vindictive man. I didn't agree with his policies (well I was too young to give a f*ck), but he didn't have this abrasive tone I see from some of our leaders today. On both sides of the aisle.

You're correct, he's not as left as they think but I hope they keep up the Socialist/Marxist campaign. It will only help that's for sure.

Laugh today, cry tomorrow. What a shame. This would be the end of a horrible ten years but I know these jack-asses aren't done yet. Oh well, fuck it. There's still nookie and it costs nothing if your game is tight. Y'all can have this POS. You wanted fascism, you've got it. Pat yourselves on the back and don't blame me when the jigs up. I've moved on.

I really wish people had the opportunity to live under a true oppressive government, so the complainers from both sides of the political spectrum (that would be liberals and conservatives) in this country would stop blowing things out of proportion. Come on, one thing is show displeasure or speak out against your government, which is your right, but another is to exaggerate and act like we live in a dictatorship.

Poor thing. . .

The Federal Government nationalized or has bailed out: The airlines, the automobile industry, the trains, certain union pensions (coal miners), Wall Street, Fannie, Freddie, foreign banks, etc . . . Now they've nationalized the health industry, when they were the ones who effed it up to begin with. Dude, where have you been?

You probably have an image of Franco or Hitler in your head. That's so 20th century. Instead of the government taking over the corporation, this time the corporations took over the government. It's the same result, corporatism; or as Mussolini put it Fascism.

Perhaps you forgot the war without end they promised to get us out of years ago? Perhaps you simply think we have troops all over the globe for your safety?

There is no more civility left in me. The sooner this government falls the better. You defend it with your life. You can go vote for some puppet. You can willingly give it your money. Send your children to go die for it. You can listen to their propaganda, their filthy lies.

It's your country. I just live here. Don't ask anything of me.

You've never been a good sportman Saden. You win. You may not understand it, but you've been winning since 2000. I don't see this government as worth fighting over. You can have it. I've not believed in this racket for awhile.

Poor things, you have your little flags, Christmas shopping, over-priced coffee, and you tell yourselves you're free. I feel sorry for you. Freedom isn't cheap petrol and a McMansion.

They Thought They Were Free

I've made up my mind that my best course of action is to get on the doll like all the illegals and drug addicts. Then all of you goodie two shoe progressive Christians can take care of me. It's the right thing to do. Obama said so.
