I don't understand why they couldn't understand from watching McNabb's time in Philly that his play was declining. If they had just done their homework on him we wouldn't have wasted a 2nd and a 4th. McNabb wasnt the same guy anymore. Age and Injuries ravaged him. After McNabb was put on the trade block, any smart team would have realized that Donovan only had 1 or 2 years left AT MAX. Donovan would have been best served on a team where all the pieces were there, and he could be a stopgap QB for 1 or 2 seasons. No one should have ever considered him the "solution" or worse yet, the "savior".

He never had a chance for any real success here. We had no running game, no o-line, ho-hum receivers, and a below average defense. I feel sorry for Donovan, but he has had his day and in his day he was one of the top QB's in the NFL. I wish him luck for the future, i hope he has one more good season somewhere and then retires while he is still healthy...
