I don't think I said the Skins were interested in Kaepernick. They're not really, as far as I know

Misunderstanding then, I thought that list was what you gather about how the Redskins ranked the QBs.

I would rank the QBs like this:
Tier 1
Newton, Locker, Gabbert, Mallet
Tier 2
Dalton, Ponder
Tier 3
Stanzi, Tyrod,

everyone else

special consideration for late round Jerrod Johnson (if healthy) because of scheme fit

I probably didn't lay it out well. But I believe it's Dalton/Locker 1 and 1A or Locker/Dalton 1 and 1A depending on who you're asking.

Then-looking at strictly at the other QBs believed to be taken in the first 2 rounds (excluding Gabbert and Newton)-it's Ponder...and then basically no one else. I put Kaepernick and Mallet there, but that was just to fill out the list.

So let's say they are unable to get Dalton, Locker, and Ponder. Then they're not going to take Kaep or Mallet. They'll just wait until later and probably take one of the 2nd (3rd?) tier QBs

Between Locker and Dalton I don't think one is clearly ahead of the other, and maybe they just split the difference and go with Ponder.

Overall, my sources still say Quinn is the top choice at #10.

I've gone back and forth on it, but I think I'd like them to pull the trigger on Locker at 10. From what I've seen of him, he could be a total superstar (or a total flop). A safer pick is probably Ponder. But, and I think I've mentioned it before, I see Ponder as the safe pick. But I think if you're taking a QB early you're going for the superstar.

In my opinion it's basically go big or go home. Locker could totally blow up in their face. But I say go for it.

Of course if they could move down to get him that'd be great, but the could put a little wrench in that...and that's why no free agency and no trades sucks

Locker isn't a reach at 10 if he turns into a Franchise QB for the next 12-15 years! Love this post!!!
