The only difference between Leinart and Campbell is that Campbell is one year further along in his development.

Thats pretty much it. I expect their career paths to mirror each other.

What do you all think the chances are of making Collins inactive on game days and putting Randel El in at 3rd.
I kinda thought that was part of the idea of bringing him here (I guess i just talked myself into thinking that for some reason).
We would free up a extra roster spot on game days, as long as both QB's in front of him are in good health, and both WR in front of Randell El are also in good health.

The beef with JC in college was he had those two killer RB's behind him. The qeustion is, is he really that good or was it because everyone was geared for the run with Auburn his senior year? He did fine last year, but statistically wasn't alot much better than Brunell from what I remember. Remember also, Fox has him as a sleeper QB for fantasy football, so they can't think all that poorly of him. I just might pick him up yet.

I mean, it's not like he has two killer RB's behind him now or anything.

I really like Brunell, but I hope either Bramlett or Palmer steps up and gets a little preseason action in order to replace Brunell as the backup for 2008. There is no way that Brunell is not the backup over either of those guys for this year (too much experience), but it would not surprise me that Todd Collins did not make the team. It is time to move on with youth at the QB position.

Honestly, I think next season's rankings will be totally different, but I cannot get seriously pissed about this season's rankings. All of these pre-season rankings are based on last season's performances and none of our QBs lit it up (although JC showed that he probably will light things up in 2007 and beyond).

As I said before, Gibbs and everyone else at the Redskins gets a poker face that screams "Royal Flush" every time someone asks about Campbell. We will all find out soon enough. My guess is that he will have some humongous games right out of the gate.

Surprised the ranking is that high, but regardless its not relevant. Only matters at the end of the season.

Re: Fox Sports QB rankings

I really don't see this as such a big shocker? He's worked extremely hard in the off season, but has seven starts under his belt.

All JC has to do is go out this year and get it done, which I believe he will. Who cares about how the writers rate the qb's or any other position, they get it wrong every year, no biggie.
