Haha I know. I doubt that Frank has ever read a book that didn't have things pop out of it.

Give the guy some credit. He has over come a lot in his life. There are not too many guys walking around with a college degree that have a learning disability. Plus he over came two major knee injuries. I have mad respect for Frank Gore.

I don't know. But I'm sure they didn't just hand it to him. I'm sure he had to do some work.

LT is a lot faster than Gore, cuts quicker, and is better goalline back and much better at ball security. Gore is a much more powerful runner though and picks up the blitz better. Both catch the ball out of the backfield extremely well.

LT is the better back but I don't think it is by as big a margin as most think.

Re: the forty niners

LT is a better blocker, passer, runner on the outside, runner on the inside, a much better receiver, fumbles a whole lot less, has been extremely consistent over 6 years compared to one good year, and is insanely more productive at putting points on the board and his team on his back when they need him. so in what ways is Gore better? no one is playing at LT's level at the running back position right now. I appreciate u being all about your team and it's players but that's pure crazy talk even mentioning LT and Gore in the same sentence at this point of their respective careers.

He has over came a lot. I mean he tore both ACL's, and he is this good? Holy christ. Now I really don't have to worry about him tearing them again. Gotta love "Da U" backs. Except Edge.

The niners have some young guys, a good coach, and no where to go but up.

I said it earlier in this thread, and I'll say it again. The Niners are 2-3 players away from a Super Bowl run.

Alex Smith is coming on, but he's not a Super Bowl caliber QB just yet.

I agree. I hope the Alex I saw in the 4th QTR is the "real" Alex. He had been regressing lately before that so I hope this game is the end of that trend.

Re: the forty niners

Just chill with comparing Gore and LT. You're way ahead of yourself. Let's talk in 3-5 years and see if he's still putting up monster numbers.

Why? Is there anything wrong with what i said? Why am I "ahead of myself" by comparing the two?

Re: the forty niners

It's like comparing Alex Smith and Peyton Manning.

They're not even in the same conversation.

I disagree. "Not being in the same conversation" would mean that LT does everything way better than Gore and that isn't true.

LT and Gore are both great backs, but they are completely different.

LT's game is based off of his ridiculous speed and cutting ability. Gore's game is based off of equally ridiculous power and ability to shake tackles.

Gore doesn't have the speed to get to the outside edge and gone nearly instantaneously like LT but on the other hand LT doesn't have the lower body strength to run through tackles and push piles all game like Gore does. Both great backs with very different styles.
