No, I just hate seeing a guy get ripped because of something I feel was the NFLs fault. These guys are working to get deals done and they move the limit up. If you can have 50 million dollars or get 60 million, which would you choose? Ok.

Also, How about I send you to Antartica instead of the Virgin Islands to work. Obviously this is a bit of a stretch. But he finally had the choice of where he wanted to go, and he has friends in Baltimore (yes, athletes have friends too!) and so he wanted to go and be with them. Not to mention he feels he has a better chance with the Eagles.

I'm not taking anything away from Dr. King. However this board has a way of making opinions completely lopsided for no reason. King was a plagerizer. One of the worst crimes in English. He was fighting for civil rights and while furthuring his education couldn't come up with his own opinions so stole those of others. It's a bit ironic isn't it. Dr. King was a great leader and did a lot for our country.

However TO is persecuted to. Just because he was original and celebrates the fun in football people hate him. TO, keep signing footballs, keep playing with pom-poms. Let those of us that like to see football players having fun see it!

well i loved the stuff he did with sharpie,the pompoms,and lets not forget tarnishing the star at dallas.the fault made was his agent's though,not the league's.as for dr king,the only thing i know about him is the fact that he changed the way of life for millions of people for the better,and that is always a good thing.hey i would love to work in antartica,as long as i had directv,pleny of gas,my family,a computer and food.any takers?

No question, T.O. is a hard-worker, a great talent, and he definitely brings some fun to the league with his unique celebrations. Nonetheless, every free agent but two (Owens and Northcutt) got their paperwork in on time. So I just don't see how this can be the NFL's fault

No doubt TO is one of the best on the field but his mouth takes away from that so much. Imagine how much more he'd be worth if he didnt have the reputation of being a loudmouth and disruption in the locker room. So many more teams would be interested in him making his value sky rocket.

But one thing I didnt like was the disrespect he showed by running to the star in Dallas and slamming the football down, I hate Dallas absolutely hate them but that was disrespect to Dallas and to all the football fans. I dont mind endzone celebrations espcially funny ones but let anyone in the nfl run to the 50 yard line and slam a football down in the middle of the field and see how you react.

bottom line here is his agent screwed up. Is that TO's fault no but it is his fault he did not hire a better agent. If his agent did not screw up then why would he be getting in trouble with league they say he is not off the hook. Well that is his fault for hiring a dumb @ss for an agent. His agent a Agent TO hired (key word TO HIRED) to handle his contracts and paperwork screwed up. The guy he hired to take care of such things did not take care of it.

I am sure there are a lot of companies that have lost money and lots of it in the stock market, or whatever because some idiot did not fill out the paperwork properly or completely or on time. Do they get a second chance? NO.

Again Bottom line here is TO hired a Agent who screwed up. That is no one elses fault but his agents and the only person TO can blame for hiring the agent is himself.

Everything Ive heard from coaches and players are quite the opposite of TO. He's a great locker room influence and he's the leader of the team. He's the guy in the weight room, he's the guy running wind sprints with everyone at home. I don't know where you grab this garbage from, but the only people I've ever heard call him a "locker room problem" are media guys looking for something to grasp onto without a better topic.

Also, if you take your taxes to a tax consultant. You send your taxes in, get audited and find out they're wrong. I'm pretty sure the second you send them to H&R block you get off pretty clean. There are lots of places that if they fuck up your paper work you can sue and either have a chance to re-do it or make the others redo it. There are plenty of examples. The stock market is a bad analogy because it's not something that's reversable. You'd have to turn back time to change the stock market. Every single day matters, whereas in this contract every day really isn't as important.

Here is one very significant difference between Rosa Parks and Terrell Owens.

Owens had made something like $11M in his NFL career. If Rosa Parks had made $11M in her lifetime, she would never have had to ride the bus and take the courageous stand that she took.

Owens has a leverage point with the Ravens. He can hold out until the 11th game of the year and then come back to the team out of shape and with no knowledge of the offense. They can keep him on the roster and pay him for the final 5 games while he contributes next to nothing or they can release him. If they keep him, that works off one year of his contract with them; if they release him, he is a free agent and they get nothing from him next year or for him as he signs elsewhere. Baltimore cannot like that prospect if that is what Owens and his agent threaten to do.

I would not be surprised if the Ravens traded TO to Philly for Philly's first round pick and then Philly re-did TO's contract. That would make everyone happy - except for the 49ers who seemed to want to make sure that TO did not get a signing bonus this year as that team's #1 priority.

What I do not understand is how TO fits the mold of the kind of player that Andy Reid has sought to assemble on his team.

And here is a scary thought that comes from a freind of mine who works for the Philly Inquirer:

The Eagles have enough cap room to trade for TO and sign him AND to take David Boston's contract from San Diego. Granted these are two HUGE head cases, but what defensive coordinator would want to find ways to cover both of these guys on opposite sides of the field for about 65 plays per game?

Do you not remember how much he talked trash about Garcia not giving him the ball as much as TO wanted last year? Thats one of the main reasons he wanted out and said he'd be a free agent in the middle of the season no less. You dont think thats something that would pressure players to pick sides and divide the team? If trashtalking your QB to the press and saying how you dont like the team isnt a locker room disruption I dont know what is.

One thing I thought was funny that Wilbon said today was that if Rosa Parks had TO's money she wouldnt have had to ride the bus lol

Just when I think Terell Owens has said the dumbest thing ever, he just keeps on talking.

I think the 'Niners are cashing in on a mistake made by T.O. and his agent. I think the Baltimorons are also trying to cash in. However, I cannot agree with this idea that T.O. is the "real" victim here. It is his money, his agent, his reputation and his conduct that has brought him where he is. He absolutely must shoulder some of the responsibility for what has occurred. I am not discounting the fact that this has cost him millions. I just do not buy into the false logic that says that this is everyone's fault except his. He must own some, if not most, of this mess.

Looks like we are going to go through the same thing with La Var and his contract. Does everyone think that the league and the 'skins have shafted La Var?

well the way i look at TO's little slam down in dallas is this,for years the cowboys taunted teams after they scored and got by with it.what TO did down there was a little payback for butch johnson,and all those excowpokes taunting over the years.TO was raised by his grandma who now has altheimers.i bet if she were of her sound mind she would kick him square in his a$$ for comparing himself to rosa parks.

If he did that in our stadium, people would go nuts. I like how Barry Sanders used to do these jaw-dropping things on the football field and then in the end zone he'd calmly flip the ball to the ref, like it was no big deal. That's cool. When you score a touchdown, act like you've been there before, someone once said. T.O is capable of the sort of plays that we all watch football for, he's a great player, so why does he need to do all that extra crap, the embarrassing showboating, the emotional outbursts? I'd say it's because he's an immature knucklehead. And that's probably why the 49ers only got a second round pick in return for one of the best receivers in the game today.
