Re: NFL schedule released
What I'd like to see this year is improvement from game one to game 16. I need to see us actually get better. If a couple young guys could not look like complete lost sh*t-heels and our vets play to their abilities then it would all come down to the QB. Like it does for basically everyone in the NFL.

I think I put some vodka in the kool aid I've been sipping. I need to see improvement as well

Re: NFL schedule released
This opening Miami game will tell us a lot.
I rate them as a possible playoff team. So if we can at least go toe to toe with them it will be a good sign.

Re: NFL schedule released
Totally agree here, especially as it relates to how our offensive line performs against Suh and the rest of that monster D line. If we hold our own against that group in the trenches then it bodes well enough for us to be considered mediocre and improved.

Re: NFL schedule released
I'd still say we're looking at 4-6 wins. The QB play is just too important and right now we just don't have anyone that's a legit 16 game starter. If one of them steps up and can separate himself from the others then 7-9 wins.

Re: NFL schedule released
To be clear, if we get average or better than average QB play this year, I think we are a potential 10 win team (with the right breaks, no injuries, etc.). To me, we simply do not have a definitive answer at the most important position. Other than that, if the D jells relatively quickly, we have the weapons to score - and score a lot.
Really, something a little better than "craptacular" play from the defensive backfield this season would be worth at least a three win improvement - regardless of what else happens.
