Brian Urlacher for being in that gay-ass commercial. Or not.

Eddie Royal is pretty damn good 6 rec. 81 yards on D.Hall & N. Asmougha in the first half.

I'm just saying, what's up with all these good rookie wideouts that are contributing to their teams, and we have to get the two out of shape ones that miss camp and have caught one ball between the two of them.

Re: The NFL Player That You Were Most Impressed With After Week 1
I'm not calling them busts, I just wish they could contribute like Eddie Royal or Desean Jackson. I think between two of them we could have gotten at least one that can contribute a little bit.

Re: The NFL Player That You Were Most Impressed With After Week 1
Certainly Turner is there, but I expected him to perform well (although, not 220 yards 2 tds first game well).
Who impressed me (actually game is still going on) that I did not expect is Eddie Royal. He has 7 catches for 99 yards and a TD at the half. He looks really fast and shifty. He is running precise routes as well. He could be a VERY solid pickup in fantasy leagues. (those of you in the warpath leagues that I am in, don't bother, I already picked him up) ![]() Also, Matt Forte looked better than I thought he would.

Re: The NFL Player That You Were Most Impressed With After Week 1
I'm not hatin' on Kelly or Thomas, I'm not expecting either to contribute right away and that was my mindset heading into the season.
But I tell ya, watching these other rookie receivers having these good days is making me realize not all rookie receivers struggle. DeSean Jackson had an excellent day for Philly and I think he will be an immediate contributor this season, and I was hesitant to praise Eddie Royal coming into the season because he wasn't that impressive to me at Virginia Tech, but damn the kid has looked good in his opening game. It's halftime and he's already 1 yard away from reaching the 100 yard plateau and the kid looks like he has a great rapport with Jay Cutler.

Re: The NFL Player That You Were Most Impressed With After Week 1
Royal will work in the Denver system cause Marshall is the go to guy who has size. Royal and even Jackson would not be what we needed. Obviously the FO saw the same issues and took the bigger WR's. Smart move IMO.

Re: The NFL Player That You Were Most Impressed With After Week 1
Royal's night is even more impressive since Marshall is out on suspension. Royal should get less defensive attention when Marshall returns. I'm less concerned with size than I am with playmaking ability. That said, I hope our big WRs start making plays soon too.
