On the other hand, if you're anywhere near right on the numbers we'll all be celebrating - even the nattering nabobs of negativity.

Nah, instead they'll be complaining about how it was one game and we shouldn't be taking them seriously until they do it consistently.

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread

Gotta find a way to be 3-3 through 6 games. I said that going into last week; and maintain it. If we can be 3-3 through 6 games we'll have a shot. Schedule is much more manageable after Arizona, but at 2-4 or 1-5 it could get ugly quick.

MUST win vs Giants.

Watch Houston Texans vs. New York Giants [09/21/2014] - NFL.com

link to giants video highlights of their win against the Texans. all the highlighted runs by jennings are clear paths right up the middle. also looked like the game was kinda testy, hard hitting for the giants.

this game worries me - we are limping into it with injuries on defense and i could see the giants giving us a steady dose of run plays. jennings looks decent (on a highlight reel).

We've played well against the run and our secondary is depleted, so why would they feature more running plays against us? Although it doesn't seem likely to me, I hope they do run a lot so we can stuff them.

Yeah, although he had a good game last week IMO we should not be afraid of Jennings. Feed him all day long, please.

thats a good point, a scary point but good point. i see our D being vulnerable tomorrow. hopefully hatcher plays, he could be a world of difference.

37-34 giants

unless cousins and the offense is lights out, i just dont see our D holding up their end of the bargain.

even though it is a short week, film is being generated on cousins and gruden's scheme and the giants corners are pretty good.

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread

If you look at the Giants' offensive productivity, it has steadily increased each game in terms of yards; roughly from 200 to 350 to over 400. And the last two games have been against strong defenses in Arizona and Houston. I'm worried they're starting to fall into a groove. And with our injuries on the defensive side of the ball... this game scares me.

It's true that our defense which wasn't good against the pass to begin with is beat to a pulp. So I expect that Haslett is going to be feverishly twisting the dials trying to create some turnovers.

On the bright side, if we need to outscore them we now have the offensive weapons to win a shootout.

Bottom line, the Giants are no better than we are. I think we can beat them tomorrow night.

Redskins LG Shawn Lauvao (knee) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Giants.

Lauvao has been dealing with right-knee issues for each of the past two weeks. Josh LeRibeus will fill in against the Giants if Lauvao can't go.

per rotoworld

Grimace making his first start, can he turn his career around?

Actually thought he played well when he came in last game. Biggest thing is we cannot let Eli go off. For some reason I feel like he just absolutely owns us.

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread

wasnt it the giants game last year when the refs signaled 1st down on a last min drive for us but then after the next play (incomplete pass), change it back to 4th down?

still cant believe that happened and the head ref said he noticed it but didnt want to correct it bc it would be like a time out for the skins .. who the eff was that ref? eff him was that triplett?
