Seems odd the snake would kill both of them. I could see him getting one and trying to eat him then either succeeding or giving up. There have to be some type of struggle thus alerting the other boy. Snakes don't juts kill for the heck of it they do it for food.

IDK just seems fishy to me. In the comments there is a lot of speculation as well.

To your first question, I don't know the space, acoustics, etc of the apartment so I dan't answer that

To the second I thought he strangled them. Could he have strangled them both at the same time? Depending on how quickly they strangle does the victim have time to make a sound? Was one boy woken up and in such shock he couldn't have screamed? I don't know

What do you think? Do you think the boys instigated it or something?
