People have been talking about Chris Thompson. He is super fast. But his ball security issues give me the heebie-jeebies personally.

And he's improved his blocking on offense too.

I know it's an amazing concept, giving a player time to develop.

If some people had their way here players would never get that chance.

Impressively so. Paul is a much better blocker than he was at this time last year.

Another thing about Niles people don't think about; he's basically a buffed up WR. He also returned kicks (and punts ) at Nebraska. He can fill in if need be at PR should Thompson continue to suffer from fumblelitis.

Back to Niles, it'll be real fun this year watching him line up all over the field and when we use 3 and even 4 TE sets, finding ways to get him Davis and Reed the ball.

Where do I begin? Again I must be watching a completely different game.

Niles is good on kick offs. +1
Niles is good at blocking. +1
Niles sucks at catching anything thrown his way. -1
Niles sucks on PR's. -1

He brings new meaning to the term 50/50.

Thompson fumbles to much for me on simple runs, but he does not do too bad on PR's. I'd put Thompson on the practice squad.

Niles.... I'm not sure what I'd do. I think I'm ready to cut him and develop some new guy who can catch and block.

You must not have been watching him this preseason. He's improved very noticeably. His -1 catching has turned into a +1. John Keim said that he didn't see Niles drop a ball until the 3rd week of training camp. He said last year at that same time Niles had well over double digits in drops.

Somewhere, Leonard Hankerson is emphatically nodding his head. Amazing that some people actually think he'll get cut. Like, they actually believe that!

I hope Royster gets cut. The Redskins need to quit wasting time with that guy. He's been given enough time to develop, and he's still not very good.

Apparently people are saying Cribbs isn't the same since his knee injury, so I dunno about that. I guess if Thompson puts the ball on the ground too much we can always get Randle El to take a break from sideline reporting and field some punts...
