Enough already, media idiots. This is nauseating. His knee is better so they can't talk about that, so they make up fight between he and Shanahan. Did they miss the message on the $10,000 t-shirt last week? Griff is not misbehaving...he even called an extra press conference to straighten the media out on this after they twisted his words and they still steam forward with the apocalyptic dream they're having about us being torn apart.

I can't even tune in for scores without hearing how our coach and QB hate each other.

People really need to stop listening to their shows. I quit complaining about most of the shit they say. Negativity in their eyes is a good thing. Anything that gets the viewer talking about their show and tuning in to see what other controversial things can be said. Stop giving those douche bags a platform. If you got served crappy food at a restaurant, would you continue going back? Hell no. Your media source (whatever it is) should be treated the same way.

I love RG3's willingness to speak his mind and put on a show for the fans.
Personally I get tired of all his talking to the media. He has only been in the NFL for one year so show me you can perform year after year then run your mouth.

understanding that RG3 is free to do what he wants, promote himself etc and he does so in a very professional and appeasing manner .... i agree with wishing RG3 would talk less to the media (personal press conferences, front page of GQ etc)

i also understand that the media in general is fanning the flames and putting his face everywhere and he cant control that .. but he could do less face time with the media.

i dont agree with the running his mouth part, i dont think he is running his mouth but that "operation patience" t shirt ... while being fun and somewhat harmless it is poking fun and continuing a media made "rift" with the coach.

i cant and dont fault RG but i do wish he did less.

RGIII talking to the press a lot is to a problem as a mole hill is to a mountain.

I guess some fans are still beat down from years of not knowing what it's like to have a star QB.

If you call what he does "running his mouth," then what would you call what Chad Johnson used to do. That was running your mouth. What Griffin does is extremely professional and does not do anything to create a rift amongst the organization, regardless of what the media says. You have to realize, the kid is practically the face of the NFL right now with what he did last year and how it ended in injury. The offseason, was not about Peyton, was not about Brady, not even about the MVP Adrian Peterson, it was about our quarterback. Obviously with that kind of attention his face is going to be in the media A LOT. I think he has handled it extremely well.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0

Interesting take on RG3 in Deadspin online today:

Washington Redskins: There was no aspect of the Redskins' offense that Griffin did not affect in a monumentally positive sense. Griffin is not just another Velveeta spread-boosted quarterback better outside the pocket than in it—unlike Vince Young, Jake Locker, and (gasp) Tim Tebow, he is totally comfortable when asked to stand in the pocket, scan his reads, and fire the stick throw under pressure. Believe it or not, Washington was most efficient going old school. When the quarterback was under center, Washington averaged 6.8 yards per play with 34.1% DVOA. From pistol, Washington averaged 6.4 yards per play with 21.7% DVOA. From shotgun, Washington averaged 5.7 yards per play with 7.5% DVOA. This is not a fluke; Griffin is a real-life, bonafide pocket quarterback who just happens to have three extra gears on the ground. In fact, Griffin's 54.1% passing DVOA under center was the highest for any NFL quarterback in 2012 with more than 100 attempts. (Doug Farrar)

Whenever someone tries to do that, it bombs. People say they want to see highlights on TV. But the numbers never back that up. Just like they say they want to watch game replays, but then they don't watch

I turn it on in the morning while making the kids breakfast and my lunch. Just listening to the Jibber Jabber for the occasional interesting piece of news/insight.

I don't think it's just talking to the press. He's got the tv ads, the tv shirts, there are hour long specials on his comeback, the magazine covers, all the tweeting....a little too much PR for me. I mean he's literally become a huge PR machine and he's played 14-15 games?
