I wonder if we will be looking at the waiver wire and at what positions?

Be silly not to but, other than the 4th safety spot or 9th OL, we are trying to figure out how not to cut folks. Hard to see them getting a waiver wire guy for any other spots.

Deep team this year. Deep team.

This team's attitude is different than the past. There is a quiet confidence which you can feel from everyone, even the third teamers. Not bombastic swagger, but quiet confidence.

If I may be so bold, I haven't felt this quiet confidence from a Redskins team since the glory days of the '80's.

No doubt, depth all over.

Haven't seen a time like this here since the early 90s.

I really think that Nick Williams is an underrated player. Different situation and position but he could be this year's Alfred Morris. I'd rather have him on the active roster rather than practice squad because he seems to bring a different style that none of the other wideouts have. And he also doesn't have a case of the dropsies like a couple of them have. Those drops are killers especially multiple ones in one game- like the Steelers game last season.

Nick would be a disastrous roster spot. I wouldn't even consider him for PS when the team has Lewis, Dawson, and Briscoe (not sure about his eligibility since he suited up a lot of prior games).

Nick is not Wes Welker and he has no where the deep ball grab ability like Lewis.
Preseason is over.

And you presume these facts from where?

They both seemed to be effective in the preseason in the same dose.. I personally like Nick, and think he would be a fantastic slot WR. I also like Lewis, but don't see either making the team unless we do a surprise cut.

I think that's pre-mature. The guy is a rookie. I don't think he'd be Welker right out of the box, but in 2 or 3 years? There's definitely a chance.

I don't think he's any worse than Briscoe (who rode the bench all last season) or Dawson.

Number one thing is the constant effort, everyone plays hard, no one quits down to the last guy. We are gonna be the more physical team now.

These pre season games just don't mean anything, we've looked good in so many areas but I need to see it Sept. 9th. But it sure does look like this team/organization is really headed in the right direction.

This is great. Hardly can I read a thread without finding at least one comment of how the team is headed in the right direction, how glad everybody is for the current management, how glad everybody is that the Cerrato era is behind us. And it's not a bad thing; in fact, I love hearing it. But for those of you who were on this board during those dark and terrible years, it must be a huge change. I, for one, am thankful we finally have a competent FO that is building a team we can be proud of. HTTR!

Re: Bucs vs Skins Gameday Thread

Nick Williams reminded me of a younger Santana. ULTRA shifty and great acceleration.
