Not only sells the Option run but also the play-action, plus RG3 has a great accuracy throwing on the run.

All those abilities forced defenses to focus on him more and left a lot of WR wide open.

If he can't scramble you take away 1 of his weapons which stops part of the defensive guessing game.
If he can't scramble??? Is his knee not better now than it was in Week 17 last year? When he scrambled for 63 yards and a TD against the Cowboys? I bet Griffin opens with the read option and runs for 30 yards just to shock the world and say "See, I'm fine".

Even if that horses#!% were true and he could no longer run, he still has one of the most accurate arms in the NFL. Look up last year's comp % and QB rating ranks.

1st in Yds/Att in the NFL.

3rd highest QB rating behind Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning.

3rd-best TD:INT ratio with 4:1, behind only Rodgers and Brady...Romo was 1.5:1 (horrible, ranked 25th in NFL)

4th in Comp %

88 yards was 2nd-longest completion in NFL (Freeman had a 95-yarder)

I don't get all these haters. Shannahan and Dr. Andrews have handled Griffin's injury with kid gloves. If he was not 100% back, he wouldn't be playing. Watching the videos of him warming up over the past couple of preseason games, he looks completely normal as far as mobility is concerned, and yes, his accuracy is as high as any top 10 QB in the league, playaction, read/option or just straight drop back.

Hatters gotta hat.

... and when they are Cowboys and Eagles fans they have to live in football fairyland b/c they are big-ass wusses who can't stand the cold dark reality that their teams will suck this year and for years to come.

Yeah ... I am pretty much in full Kool-Aid mode this year. I got a keg of it in my kitchen.

It would certainly make a lot of redskins fans exhale, myself included, but I would be equally as satisfied if they come out conservative (but march down the field and score of course) and lull them into believing that rg3 will remain in the pocket, and then boom, out of nowhere break an 80 yarder. . . . Could be.
