I've never seen a team rack up so many yards and then completely stall out in the opponents end of the field. Through 5 games don't we only have 1 first half TD? What in the world kind of statistic is that?

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Can't run a no huddle all game. Especially when RG3 can barely find the right reads when you do huddle. He's not reading defenses very good right now. He missed a wide open PG for a score, and missed a WIDE OPEN Jordan Reed for a score last night.
Garcon had a lot of nice plays last night, and wouldn't say he got schooled. You can't really listen to the announcers much. If RG3 actually hits him on the post route he's open on. He scores, and has 140+ yards. It's amazing how one play can play out one way or another.. Also, Kehl blew his knee out on the punt return TD. In which, he was in route to make the tackle on Harris. Talk about getting punched in the mouth on one play.

I was so grateful when the kickoff would be so deep or out that they werent tempted to bring it out Also I would have Moss returning punts and I would give Aldrick Robinson a chance at kickoffs,at least he has the speed to go somewhere with it

Too early for bust talk. But right now he isn't even better than Tannehill. Some of his passes looked like a high school QB would throw. He needs some help but he left too many plays our there last night.

Go Inside the Locker Room with Robert Griffin III
Good post game interview with Rob. Notice he said some of those passes have to be caught. He also took credit for some of those errant passes as well.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Alarming stat...
Griffin has only 19 snaps under center when the team has been winning. Out of a total of 341 offensive snaps. Yeah............. Talk about playing from behind.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
One positive about RG3 last night is his legs look damn near 100%.
One negative about RG3 last night is he gave Mark Sanchez a run for his money in terms of pocket passing and awareness.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
More alarming is he has more fumbles than any other player in the league since 2012 (yes even more than David Wilson)

The biggest thing is we lack a huge play maker because we we don't have the funds to bring one in. Either on defense or offense. We have a lot of solid players that play well, but we don't have a Dez Bryant, or a Sean Lee. Also, people want to bash the Offensive Line, but RG3 mental clock is off. He held the ball way to long last night on many different occasions.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
One thing that has been bugging me all season that bugged me last night too: RGIII just doesn't look like he has the same competitive fire or laser-like focus that he had last year. When he's on the sidelines, it often seems that he's sitting by himself, perhaps nodding and acknowledging what folks are saying but not really looking at them -- he seems to be staring ahead in something of a fog.
I realize that those kinds of camrea shots are what the networks often look for when a team is behind, but I just haven't seen any of the last year's RGIII roaming the sidelines and talking up his receivers (and even the D). This year, he seems kind of indifferent to everything. I'd be curious if anyone else has this view. (And if not, I will go back to my padded cell.) |
