Re: Skins Viks Postgame
So much last night. Yeah I didn't love the last play, but I didn't hate it either. It had to be perfect, it was there, from what I understand it was his first read as well (meaning he wouldn't even have made the read to a wide open Reed since Moss was open). Didn't work, but that doesn't define the game to me either. The defense was horrible all night, against a terrible team. They don't make plays, the pass rush was a little better, but still nothing great.
The two biggest issues I have, are penalties and special teams. We take these STUPID personal fouls (I swear to god I think 20 seconds past from the play before Riley got his), DY with one on special teams, I mean whatever. Bottom line, is this team is not very good top to bottom. The only reason we're still in it, is because the rest of the division is as bad as we are. The Cowboys I would estimate lose in New Orleans so we still wont "lose" any ground in the division, but there is nothing with this team that makes me think they're capable of what they did last year. On one positive note, Alfred Morris and Pierre Garcon = MONSTERS. RG3 had a good night as well and as others have said, I think he has to/trys to do too much, but Garcon and Morris were great.

The Defense seems to "fake it" sometimes, they can hid their issues fairly well. I think we need a serious up grade of talent at Slot Corner, ILB, FS, and someone to step up and consistently at SS. And im just gonna say it, but I wouldnt re sign Orakpo. Dont pay him top money, he's not worth it. So a pass rush OLB is a need.

PLaying ten yards off the receiver means you just can't cover and need help against the long ball which opens up the short game. It would be nice to see our DBs play just 5 yards off the receiver because they can actually match up and cover someone which actually I think Hall can do pretty well. He is doing his job in my opinion and Amerson has the skills to do so as well. They should not be letting these receivers catch all these passes. Last edited by Sonny9TD; 11-08-2013 at 10:09 AM. |

This isn't 1 game boo-hoo Kyle must go. This is the culmination of years. Don't worry, Haslett will get his. But this is a Shanahan team. Kyle leads the league in WR's and TE's lined up alongside and behind the QB. Im sure we lead the league in QB hits- even on RB runs. Kyle is wreckless and unnecessary. He treats a Ferrari like a Jeep wrangler. DC is an attractive team when overlooking Snyder. Coaches and players will want to be here. Mike cannot continue to be the highest paid coach in NFL with this production. The fact he hired his son for such a highly important position is counter productive and irresponsible. Mike has to go down with the ship and Kyle has to as well. It makes zero sense to hang our hats on an effective run game with Alfred, then to abandon Alf in favor of Robert to run. there comes a point in games when the other team knows what is being called, its about putting a hat on a hat and fighting for yards. Alfred can make the first 1-3 guys miss, the zone blocking can open him cut back holes, Young is a great blocker. Why is that Kyle needs a playaction for a pass play to occur? We almost never see it on 3rd and 15 or in final 2mins when trailing = B/C he knows when we need to move the ball or score to cut out the bullshit and just fuk'n do it. Yeah, Haslett called a horrible game. The greater evil Kyle. Robert, Alf, Reed, Garcon, and crew and be more successful w/o Kyle and I garruntee that Robert would not have been hurt and the 2013 season ruined if we didn't have KYLE. Kyle has to go now. Let Mike miss a few tanning bed appointments and absorb play calling duties until season end when we fire him. This team is F'kd. the answer is evident when asked- has the Shanahan family affair been good or bad for the Skins? And why would we want to prolong and enable any further. Defense lost this game but are you really going to defend Kyle when the Offense ran all over a dismal Vikings defense? I think Kyle held the offense back even more so (opening drive, dumb ass pistol looks, scripted option keeps) Robert already has a Heisman. NFL is NFL football. Is Kyle just using the Redskins to have a NCAA job offer? He will never be an NFL HC. That is partly why Mike came to DC to 1. get into the HOF 2. get Kyle a HC job. That is undeniable. |

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
Hot read was to Moss, more experience will have him looking for Reed (Henderson missing from the middle). Lichtensteiger was in trouble right away on the back peddle. It was a play alot of good experienced QBs make, I don't think they throw it to moss though. He has to learn, let me keep going at it.
They got zero calls from the Refs last night, kinda ridiculous. We have a huge gaping hole in the middle of the defense, and I love Fletcher. Come on, 1 sack against that line..

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
The offense is near the top half of the league in most offensive categories while the defense is near the bottom in most, but yeah F Kyle.

Re: Skins Viks Postgame
Yeah, but lets be honest every freakin game Special teams has a problem. Every effing game. Burns and Shanny are out of excuses. If I was Dan I would step in and over rule Shanny this offseason. Id tell Bruce no way Burns steps on the field next year.
