Shanahan and Kubiak both suck right now. I really hope the Skins do not get Gruden.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach

I voted Art Briles, but after more thought I think Darrell Bevell would be a better candidate. Hopefully the Skins get lucky for once and find the next guy to be like Joe Gibbs 1.0 and bring 3 more Lombardi trophies to DC.

He's not going to be getting any HC jobs in the NFL at this point in time.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach

Darrell Bevell is looking better and Better especially if Shaw decides to stay at Stanford. The true test is next week here in SF when Seattle plays the Niners.

If we had to make a move from Shanny my top 5 would be

1. David Shaw
2. Bill O'Brien
3. Hue Jackson
4. Art Briles
5. Jay Gruden

I never thought about Bill O'Brien, I like that choice, I'd put him above Shaw. Something about Shaw's personality doesn't come off as NFL coach to me (just my perspective).

Mike Tomlin would be my ideal choice if at all possible, but that's a loooooonnnngg shot he leaves Pittsburgh, let alone comes here.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach

Bill O'Brien sure wouldn't be afraid of getting in the face of the franchise QB, no matter how popular he may be. I would love that attitude. But it always is risky going after coordinators of Bill.

Dude did a hell of a job when he took over. Made em respectable again. He isnt gonna just get stripped of the hc duties and smile and say thanks boss that was fun.....he deserved a chance. Kept recruiting big time even when he knew he was going to be replaced. He showed he is HC material, so again good for him.
Good for him. He has balls.

I would like to see him win at the college level as a full time head coach before the Redskins offer him the franchise.

Shanny has been in the fire long enough. That is why he is so red. Last time they bucked the trend and didnt listen to anyone they bought in Zorn. Lol. I truely think the next guy they bring in will be the answer to alot of problems. They know now that it has to be not only well thought out (unlike Zorn), but also that it is not as easy as ...,well that guy was good once (shanny). I cannot wait to meet the new boss .....whom i hope is not the same as the old boss.

I agree, im just pointing out that I dont think it should be held against him that he didnt bend over for USC.
I think he will make a hell of a coach somewhere in college before or if he ever decided to give the NFL a shot.
