Lol
I thought it had everything to do with snyder wanting jason campbell to start. is this incorrect?

Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era

It's hard to argue the point about changing the defense. It is obvious that hasn't worked out at all.

I would say a close second is bringing in his son to be the OC. I can understand why he did it as a father, but not as the head coach...

So if you believe that bringing in Kyle was a mistake, then it can be argued that he has made poor decisions with all three coordinators: Offense, Defense and Special Teams...

Just because I'm a stickler for these playoff games (which I think we both should have won)

2005 was when Rogers dropped that pick 6, which would have put us up 10-0 early.

2007 we were down 13-0, scored real quick twice in the 4th quarter to go up 14-13, then they screwed up that kickoff; and Sean (FN!) Suisham missed a extra point length field goal which I'm still angry about to this day; lost all momentum and we some how lost by 21, 35-14 in a game that was way closer than that score would indicate.

2012 was when we set this franchise back 3 years.

IMO he is part of the problem as he would be better suited to play DE in the 3-4 and would allow for a true monster space eating NT, which he is not . . .

Depends on what type of 3-4 you want. Not everyone has a monster in the middle.

Re: Worst Mistake of the Shanahan Era

Cofied doesn't move both on run plays or pass plays.

He might not crash the pocket but few nose tackles do, if any. The skins need some DE's and depth at OLB to get pressure. Still not sure why the Skins only really show Orakpo, Kerrigan and sometimes Rob Jackson. I thought going into the season there was some good depth there but maybe they haven't been showing enough in practice.

That's probably true. Not sure how much that factored into Dan passing up Williams tho. Sounded like there was a strong personality clash there if memory serves.

The Rogers drop in 2005 was unforgettable because it was an easy pick six. He dropped an INT in '07 too though I swear.

Just to be fair He didnt "drop" them, there was a chemical reaction between the pigskin and the stone causing an involuntary release of the ball.

To be clear, Vinny passed up Williams. Not Dan. Dan put complete control in the hands of Cerrato. Cerrato felt threatened by a big personality like Williams-who, granted, probably shouldn't have asked to be named GM/EVP too-and sent him on his way.

I love the revisionist history here in the Warpath. It seems that when fans have b*tchy vendettas against certain people, they love to change history to make their point and "win" with their arguments.

It would not surprise me if we start hearing someone say "Vinny wasn't that bad".

I'm not too sure, to be honest. I can't recall what their relationship was like
