Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
If we were to go with Mcdermott, does he stick with Haslett or go elsewhere? Would they mesh well? Would he stick with 3-4?
This article sounds like he might use the players he's got in whatever formation works best considering the situation, which is GOOD! Carolina Panthers Playing More 3-4 Scheme Is Only Realistic on Paper | Bleacher Report |

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Perry fewell.... Jim caldwell... There is no rational reason to seriously interview either of them.... Unless they're just interviewing bad candidates so the fanbase will be relieved when they hire someone we otherwise wouldn't like

Well Dungy def is encouraging Lovie toward Tampa. I think it's a mistake. That's a damn tough division with New Orleans and Carolina already elite (saints will be even better next year) and Atlanta likely to rebound. Lovie will have to 12-13 games a year to win the division. Come to DC and win the division in probably 10 games. I think he must really not want to come here. To bad. I still think he's the best HC available by a wide margin and just read an article that his hand picked OC is the guy who developed Aaron Rodgers. Would have been a great situation for RG

Fewell has faced the Redskins multiple times each of the past 3 seasons, why not pick his brain to get a divisional opponents perspective on us? Point is, the interview process isn't only to fill the empty spot. Sometimes it's also to do some information gathering and it's possible you may hear/see/learn something or about someone that benefits you.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Caldwell was 2-14 in his only year as head coach without Peyton manning. The giants defense was almost worse than ours this year. Nether is a worthy candidate for a nfl head coaching position. Id question if Fewell is even an upgrade at defensive coordinator over haslett.

Well if we hire him he may look to McVay and Raheem. Other possibilities include Frank Reich, James Urban and Paul Guenther, Steve Spagnuolo
