The more I read about James Franklin, the more and more I like him. He might not be ready just yet (I think he is) but man would I love to give him a chance, he's no Spurrier.

He's not leaving is the word in Norman, but obviously that can change , I knew Cleveland wanted him though and the fact that he's from Ohio I'm sure is going to be a role in the process.

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
Personally speaking, looking at the candidates we know about and considering the "makeup" of that group I am excited to see what we do. We've been through enough of these searches to know that this one is feeling different. It seems calculated and patient. I don't feel any desperation in it. Are their candidates that don't feel "right" to me? Yeah but honestly speaking Shanahan didn't feel right to me at the time and for a while he had me convinced I had been wrong. So what the heck do I or any of us know?

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
I am starting to embrace the idea of hiring one of the named OC or DC to be our HC. Id much rather go that route than bring in a cowher or caldwell or another older established guy.
I want a coach who can scheme, Xs and Os, make adjustments before and during the game and adjust the scheme to enhance our player's strengths. And just worry about coaching and allow bruce and co. worry about personnel and contracts etc. |

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
I'm rooting for the Chargers to lose this weekend so Wisenhunt can be hired next week.

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
To me, Wisenhunt is a very underwhelming HC prospect. He has a career 45-51 record, and his best regular season record is 10-6, even with Kurt Warner at QB. What's special about him?
