Re: 2014 salary cap....and the money we have
Thanks Matty. SFO you can see the cap sheets by clicking "Salary Cap Info" at the top of the page under the banner, or you can click the middle link in my signature. You might have to refresh the pages to see the latest version.

What I wasn't taking into account was that Fletcher and Morgan off the books will count in additional dead money - $2.1M and $3.3M respectively for a total of $5.4M. That's pretty much our difference. So yes our cap space will be about $28M or so without those 2. I based my calcs on SpotRac and they don't have any account for their additional dead money, just the $155K. I really don't understand Morgan's or Meriweather's contracts for that matter. I don't get the dead money for Morgan I thought he was a UFA. Here's the other minor differences I noted: Richard Quinn – I have $420K .. you have $730K Ryan Mouton - I have $420K .. you have $645K David Gettis - I have $420K .. you have $570K Kevin Kowalski - I don't have this guy at all .. you have $570K Robert Malone - I have $420K .. you have $570K Will Compton – I have as an ERFA .. you have $495K Phillip Thomas – I have $601K .. you have $526K Jeremy Kimbrough – I have $496K .. you have $421K

Very educational. Can't believe how much we paid for Josh Morgan. Love how little dead cap we have. Thanks CrazyCanuck!

- For the other guys you mentioned, the discrepancies seem to be related to minimum salaries and years of experience. For instance, the min salary for a rookie is $420K, but I have Quinn with 3 years of experience which would get him to $645K, 4 years would get him to $730K. Similar discrepancies exist for the others. Anyways these are negligible differences, we're all on the same page. |
