I doubt they can afford 2 of the 3. Cody has been a major bust... no thanks. Jones or Joseph would be nice additions at the right price

Red Bryant may be the best bargain of the four DT's mentioned.

Sacks by our defensive linemen last year:
Cofield 2.5
Jarvis Jenkins 2.0
Baker 1.0

Ergo, total by entire defensive line: 5.5 sacks

Because of this, I think pushing Cofield to the wing and putting someone like Joseph in the middle is a great idea. We need more pressure from the front 3.

That's right. With more inside pressure we'll get more sacks and hurries from Orakpo and Kerrigan, more turnovers, more help for the secondary, etc. Football is a team game.

Hopefully, Coefield and Baker will lose a little weight to improve their quickness now that they both will be moved to DE.
