I'm not talking about a big pay day. I'm talking a "you've worn out your welcome in two spots in three years and now it's time to rebuild you rep" discounted contract.

I guess so, but i think he will still want a deal comparable to the deals given today. If he is released it may help us get Talib at a cheaper price since the Pats have interest in Revis.

That's the kind of idea I'm on board with. I don't think there's any young talent left in FA worth giving big money too, I wouldn't mind giving a short term deal to someone like Revis with a lot left to prove. Worst case, he doesn't fill a need, best case, think Randy Moss with the Pats type resurgence.
