Sure as hell wasn't formed on repressing the FREE SPEECH! These guys don't say anything that bad, sometimes I listen to them if someone at work is listening to it. I don't see why the FCC gets their panties in a wad over this.
As far as religious groups founding this nations. Yes, you had to be Christian, or at least believe in Jesus Christ, but depending on the location this meant very little in the overall scheme of things. Mainly in the South, where Churches were spread out and very rare religion wasn't near as big (required) like up North. There are things such as seperation of church and state to keep religious groups from becoming as powerful as they were in England. That's why we keep tabs on religions, we don't want them running our country like they ran England into the ground. Too late, the process has started. |

Actually I've read that it was clear channel that pulled the plug on Stern, not the FCC.
Kinda scary considering how the media is slowly but surely becoming tightly controlled by just a few companies. |

Yeah, Clear Channel is cutting down. That's why he's still on Viacomm stations.
The media starting to? The media is. Most TV/RADIO outlets are controlled by three companies. Very little in the way of independant stations are left. The last independant station in DC was DC 101 then they got bought out years ago. |
