His windup is a killer. You can get away with a windup like that in college but not in the pros, as Tebow taught us. Winston's not gonna lose that in a year.

His release is not a problem in my opinion. He can work on that. Based on what I've seen, he's sees the field really good, he's accurate, good arm strength, and has some mobility. I think if he gets a year to watch he'll come out good right away.

If, in your words, he needs to "work on" something as important as "his release," you don't draft him #1 overall. His "work" has to drop his stock at least some. And this was the discussion above: not whether he is a good QB but whether he is worthy to take at #1.

If I am Tampa Bay I absolutely take him at #1 and don't think twice about it.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

You don't see a Tebow parallel in terms of mechanics?

No, I really don't, plus Tebow was so inaccurate, Winston, has that accuracy that Tebow did not, and he can read defenses way better than Tebow could have.

Well, ok, fair enough. I agree with you on the accuracy part.

I can't believe you're putting Baby Jesus and Winston in the same sentence. What you're forgetting to mention is Winston actually throws w/ great anticipation. He makes all of the throws with ease. You can't teach the talent he has. He's a passer first and not a thrower.

It's going to come down to whether or not he can grow the F up and act like a pro. I'd have no problem taking him, sitting him for a year and let him learn the ropes.

You take him #1 overall, he is not gonna sit.

Some young college kids are immature. Winston is ASININE. I hope we don't draft him. He may have all the talent in the world, but someone who acts like a jabrony all the time and gets coddled by FSU does not sit well with me. What sane, rational DI starting quarterback has ever stolen crab legs and stood on a table and screamed profanities at a student council meeting?!? Dude is a couple burritos short of a taco stand if you ask me.

I don't think any QB that I can remember, especially a Heisman winner, that has done this kind of thing. No question, Winston is an idiot. Boom or bust prospect.
