Pats: Jim McNally called himself “Deflator” because he’s fat | ProFootballTalk

Cant make this stuff up folks. These excuses are about as lame as Ive ever heard...the lying and cheating continues courtesy of the Patriots organization

Re: All things off season 2015.

An even more cogent graphic. The Pats fumbled once per 42 touches in the period from 2000 - 2006. After the ball rules were changed, it went up to 1 fumble in 74 touches, a drastic outlier.

If you're statistically inclined, the P-Value on this 0.0001711874, meaning there is a 0.017% chance that this improvement in fumble rate was the result of chance, aka 'just the way the football bounces'.

This is a fairly widespread bell curve distribution but the Patriots are still up on the tail end by a mile.

Do more reading here if you enjoy the maths as much as me.

Stats show the New England Patriots became nearly fumble-proof after a 2006 rule change pushed by Tom Brady.

I think he's been asked about it but has declined comment. Meaning he was asked to comment on Brady's situation. I haven't seen anything where he was asked if he doctored balls outside of the rules.

There's no evidence that he has, including in his team's fumble rates.

Source: Redskins are HBO's Hard Knocks Backup Plan

Quote:
Nothing makes for better television than drama, and there is no bigger drama surrounding the Washington Redskins than that of their name. Just this week, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D) tweeted that “[He] finds it stunning that the NFL cares more about how much air is in a football than it cares about a racist franchise name.”

Given that the Redskins training camp enjoys one of the best fan turnouts in the entire NFL, do not be shocked to see the HBO cameras talking to fans and asking them directly about the issue of the name
You know they would, gleefully.

I think it would be a big issue. There's enough nonsense surrounding a Redskins training camp without adding the HBO madness. We need to get some serious work done, and we certainly can do without this kind of major league distraction...

Re: All things off season 2015.

with capgate the redskins broke a rule that didn't actually exist. an unwritten rule shouldn't really be enforceable, even though the skins obviously were trying to dump salary into an uncapped year.

the psi level in footballs is a REAL rule, that's written and enforceable. if you don't enforce your rules, then they're no longer rules, they're just suggestions.

Couldn't have said it better myself. That's the best possible compliment I could ever give.

I'm pissed we haven't been doing this.

I can see why Robert Kraft thinks the public masses are a bunch of imbeciles. Just look at our current political situation and see how many brainless idiots believe the tripe that's fed to them.

That said, I'm not one of these people that believe the horse manure he's trying to shovel. It's just as bad and as insulting as some of the excuses from guys who get caught using PEDs/drugs.
