[edit]
Agree, would love to see the first team get practice -- although admittedly this is the most the starters have done since And Rodgers - honestly I'm not sure it's smart to play your franchise QB that much -- Rodgers usually gets hit a lot out there. But whatever they want.. |

I do agree that 100% Griffin should have got more reps. I don't really care what other people around the league are doing. I only care about what makes sense for this team; and it makes sense to get Griffin more reps. |

Rodgers, Bortles, and Bridgewater are the only starting QBs in the top 25 for pass attempts so far
NFL Stats: by Player Category Starters usually get the quick hook in the first game, if they play at all, let's see how the rest of the preseason goes. |

Really like the extra effort after practice with Pierre:

I can careless if the quote was out of context. He should know by now that everything that he says will be twisted and turned into a controversy. Yes just not getting it.

If he goes out and gives Belicheck type answers, he will be criticized (as was shown by his "waiting for San Fran" press conference). If he were to pull a Marshawn Lynch he would be criticized for that. If he gives a truthful answer, he will be criticized. Why care? You want him to give specific answers. But if he does give the exact answer you want to hear, he will be criticized. It will be parsed til hell freezes over and whatever context is needed to create a controversy, it will be given using that context, even if everyone knows it was taken out of context. So knowing that... again... Why care? I still have not figured out why so much is made over a twitter response by someone who gets paid to create a controversy if one is not immediately available for them to report on. |

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
This is the one problem I had with his answer.
Quote:
It's one thing to say I feel that I'm the best. To say he "knows" he's the best QB on the team isn't going to sit well with other teammates that KNOW he's not the best and see his glaring mistakes day in and day out on the field and in the film room. Let's be honest. The ONLY reason Robert is starting is because of Snyder. He isn't a very good communicator, and yes much of what he says gets overblown to say the least. I really don't think he's realistic about his game in the NFL. In his mind, he's on one universe, the reality has him somewhere completely different. In the end, people are tired of hearing how good Robert is from Robert. We want to see those words backed up by play, which he hasn't done since 2012. Robert Griffin III acts like an egomaniac with no self-awareness | For The Win

Could not agree more. Actually just completely sick of this guy at this point. Sick of hearing excuses about his play and his mouth too for that matter. |

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
I think the reaction to RG3s comments are so ridiculous. He said nothing inappropriate. In my work, even as a young unproven professional who has made some mistakes, if I do not project a confidence that I am striving to be the best and know that I can be, and that I am the right person in my organization for my position there would be repercussions:
1. People would be gunning for my job, or under mining me to make themselves look better. 2. My bosses would question my ability if I wasn't confident. 3. Most importantly, with all the crap I receive on a daily basis, I could not handle the pressure and my lack of confidence would hurt my performance. Dude was saying something pretty mundane, and admitting he needed to prove himself. If he does, awesome. If he doesn't, oh well, good riddance, but not projecting confidence would not make that easier. |
