Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
The players are playing hard for Gruden. We are a way better team than 2-3 and no matter what happens we will be at worst one game out going into week 6. Oh and we are still waiting for our biggest playmaker on offense to come back. We are probably 4-1,3-2 at worst with d-jax. We are going to win the division this year.

Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
If there is one big concern right now to me it's that the running game doesn't seem to be working well at all. Did Lavao going down make that huge an impact? The pass blocking still seems sharp, but on run plays there is just nothing opening up. The few decent runs seem to happen merely due to the speed and quickness of Matt Jones.
Defenses are stacking the box hoping to stop the run and put Kirk behind the 8-ball. I'm hoping the return of Reed and Jackson will stop some of this since those two will make a defense suffer when Kirk audibles to a pass play into vacant spots. |

Really hard to judge what would have happened if Grant kept his footing. I do not think it would have been a pick six though. |

Because punctuation negates logic. PM me, and we can have a real discussion, man to man, about coaching tendencies, situational play calling, and a fundamental understanding of point differential vs game clock. You want to talk ball, I'm all about it. Otherwise go play your gotcha games with another kat.

Re: Redskins v. Falcons Gameday Thread
Does it ever occur to you that We might be a handful of players short..I am willing to say Cousins may not be the Qb of future but he is the best we have right now..we don't have our best WR and Te on the field. Gruden does not have The bengals Roster and tell me how many years has Andy Dalton been in league?? This is Cousins first real starting job..were you ever a Browns fan calling for Bill Belichick to be fired??? Its always the head coach or the Qb fault..in my opinion the D let us down on the final drive. you can have your opinion and post on here the rest of the season about the sorry coach we have..but for me i am going to enjoy the fact that for the first time in a LONG time we have a team that has a chance to win every game ..so you are saying theres a chance….

I'm certainly not suggesting that Gruden is above criticism, but geez, his team just went on the road against an undefeated team and lost a nail biter in overtime. There's not a Redskins team in the last 23 years that would have won yesterday's game. And your takeaway from that is that the coach sucks? Maybe a bit more objectivity in your assessment of things might be needed. |

He isnt the only one chastising Gruden on a weekly basis. Everyone wants to say SM is getting the rite kind of players in here, and he is. However alot of these guys were here before Gruden and had nothing to do with SM, and they are collectively playing hard for the man. I think he is not getting credit for the mind set and attitude this team is playing with. You keep that up and the wins will come. |
