Re: Drafting a running back in the X round.
I wouldn't even look at FA backs. Not when you can get someone cheaper in the draft and with way less wear and tear on them. I say pencil in Jones as the starter, bring back Thompson and Thomas, and draft someone later on.

Agreed. How many running backs do you need anyway? Jones, Thomas, and Thompson should be enough. Maybe sign a guy for the practice squad.

i guess if you have thompson and a guy like pierre around as insurance and take some carries it'd be okay though. |

I would invest some resources in improving our Oline and make all the backs better....

Re: Drafting a running back in the X round.
well losing our LG immediately and then our C didn't help. we probably do need a new C sooner or later... also the TEs we had most of the year didn't run block well on most downs (including our converted OT).

I think on offense for the offseason, shaping the run game comes right after resigning Cousins...which resigning Cousins probably the easiest part of the offseason.

Not sure what you mean. I'm all for using a later round pick and UDFA, I just wouldn't waste money on any of the top free agents to be. |

I think the RB Free agent market on a mid range guy like Hillman still more affordable than Alfmo and more productive. Id like the idea of CT, Silas Redd, a 4-5th round pick, Hillman, and Matt Jones as a stable. Let them fight it out.

Re: Drafting a running back in the X round.
Problem is Thompson is always hurt and Thomas will be a year older. Wouldn't mind seeing Hillman here for the right price. Real solid all around back who can do a little bit of everything.
