Scot doesn't draft off of need, at the time the Giants drafted Odell Beckham they didn't need a WR that early either. Remember what happened last year, if Oakland hadn't taken Amari Cooper, he'd be a Redskin right now. Now if for some reason Laquon Treadwell is starring us in the face at 21, I could easily see Scot pulling the trigger.

You dont think Scherff over Williams had a dash of need to it? Williams was widely regarded as the bpa. Id say , at the time at least, oline was a bigger need than dline. I think that u always have to consider bpa and need than weigh your optins. Is bpa that much better than bpa at a position of need? Dont think its so black n white as just bpa all day long?

I don't because he stated that Scherff was the 3rd best player on his board behind Fowler and Cooper

I want a C, RB, G, CB and S

Draft..... DL, LB, S, TE, RB, WR
why a guard? we have two a big money LG, a top 5 pick at RG and depth there already.

People tend to forget everyone has their own draft board they're working from.

I just remember being surprised as though the pick was out of left field. I was happy about it because I thought it was the best pick for us. You are rite though I think back to Kipers big board as if SM gives a crap who Mel thinks the rite guy is. Lol.

There are some good guards coming open - a lot in fact. The Ravens G who stepped in and performed admirably as LT jumps out at me. I am unconvinced that Luvaou is the answer at LG and Long may be depth but he was pushed around by D linemen a lot. As for A. Kouandjio, he may have a great attitude but he is serious project (Arie Kouandjio - Washington Redskins - 2016 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com : AK "is tight hipped and athletically deficient. Arie was a maddeningly inconsistent blocker on college tape, almost to the point of being undisciplined.").

The run game sucked. Even if Lauvuo is the answer (he left due to injury, run game goes south), I don't trust either Long or AK to step up. If we can get a quality guard at a good price, I wouldn't object. I can see it as not a priority but I wouldn't rule it out.

Nobody on the list other than Wisnewski stands out to me at center. To me, that's the real priority on the line. The pivot position needs to be upgraded either through free agency or the draft.
