They will keep both DJAX and Garcon. When you don't dab in free agency and go after high targets. You can afford to pay your own and honor contracts

I agree, I think they are heavily leaning this way. Roberts is gone, for a little cap savings. I don't think they want to mess with WR this offseason, unless they really have to. Crowder & Ross should be a bit better anyways.

While Im not against bringing back Garcon and DJax, both were good last year, with Roberts gone(no question he is gone) and Ryan Grant spot not guaranteed...I think we could easily see 2 new WR on the roster.

Playoff teams lose players every offseason and these guys could be next - NFL

And there's the fascinating case of Kam Chancellor, who manages to check all kinds of boxes. You can make a case that Chancellor is underpaid given his track record, and you also can argue that the Chancellor who was targeted and torched in pass coverage by teams such as the Bengals and Vikings during the fourth quarter of Seahawks games last year is significantly overvalued. At $6.1 million, Chancellor doesn't have an enormous cap hit, but he also wants a new deal. A trade might make the most sense for all parties, which would create $4.1 million in cap space for the Seahawks and break up the Legion of Boom for good.

Would McC bring Kam? Safety is a major need, I think it would be awesome if Kam was released, I could see us being players for him.

I liked him before he made the change to WR but Braxton Miller just seems like a Randall Cobb/Golden Tate hybrid, I would love him on the Redskins.

If he was released and it was a good deal sure, difference is he NEEDS that coverage ace FS to pair with him in order to avoid those coverage issues, might be better to draft someone like a Jayron Kearse out of Clemson. (6'5" 220lbs) so similar size to Kam and better in coverage

Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)

I would also say no to Chancellor. Just don't think it's good business to pay a safety 6-7 million dollars a year. With the rules the way they are safety play is not as important as it use to be, at least that's what I think. I'd prefer to have a safety that can cover first, over a intimidating big hitter like Chancellor.

They will be paying Goldson more, think he will earn 8 million this coming season.

I fully expect Goldson to stay.

I fully expect Goldson's contract to look significantly different than it does currently.

Also, as to Kam, would rather create a Legion of Doom through the draft than try to recreate a retread Legion of Boom. (So "No")

I like Dash, but paying him north of 7.5 seems like a lot.

Kiem-
I could see the Long switch, I fully expect Callahan to try him and Arie at Center this offseason.

I don't think Murph is stout enough to play DE in a 34 scheme; I could see him as an ILB before a DE

Murphy needs to gain 30lbs, he has the room to put on the weight at 6'6".

And for goldson at free safety, he won't be playing for the skins at a 7.5 or 8 million cap number. Fully expect a number half that. look, I much rather give kam goldson's 8 million.
