Because none of them have three or more accrued years, the Redskins controlled their rights by making them an offer. All three figure in the Redskins' plans: Compton might end up starting again at inside linebacker; Way has solidified the punter position since joining them right before the 2014 season and Thompson served as a third-down back last year.
