I never hated the guy, and will always remember the 2012 "dream" season. The most exciting season since the last superbowl. That was one hell of a ride.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team

2012 was great, and RG3 looked impressive as hell, but hindsight being 20/20 I think you can look back now and see that a lot of factors fell into place to make that season what it was. The defense really showed up in the last 7 games. Morris was a beast, our running game was amazing. Kyle designed the offense around RG3's strengths. So yes as a rookie there is no doubt RG3 was great, however without all those other factors falling into place, 2012 would not have been a winning season. So my point is, in 2012 RG3 did his part, but so did everyone else. Hell, Cousins won a game for us. It's a team game. And that's my other point. RG3 didn't seem to get that. I still wish him well but I'm happy that hopefully soon the name RG3 and the name Redskins will no longer be used in the same sentence.

It is great you really love RGIII. RGIII is an available FA snd he will evaluated by teams and media. That is part of the process. The criticism is not about his personal life away from football. It is directly to do with what kind of player and teammate he has been and will be. Not smearing imo.

I generally thought RG3 handled a most uncomfortable demotion with class last year. In fact most dealings with folks outside the locker room was with class. There have been a long list of QBs who didn't get along together within the team, but as long as its kept in-house and professional it doesn't matter.

I don't look back at RG3 tenure and think "locker room cancer"...just don't.

I don't think Mr. Bob was a locker room cancer either. I think he felt the only way to be accepted by everyone was to be the best on the field. But that isn't always what gets you accepted into the family.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team

cooley's just giving insight on what's happened to lead to this point. he's a member of the media, so he's not bound to try and keep things in house... also, no one's refuting anything he's said or saying any of it was false, so i'm not going to be mad at a "journalist" for reporting facts and giving context to a story that people want to know about.

I think Cooley should have let it go. Not to fond of the comments regardless if they are true or not. Nothing good can come of it so there was really no need to kick the guy on his way out.

calling Cooley a journalist is a slippery slope at best. I actually got a chuckle from that.

Im not hearing anybody corroborate these hearsay statements either. But I did hear what Orakpo said.

Im sure there is some animosity from RG3. Really haven't heard it from Cousins or RG3..

Re: Predict RGIII's next team

Cooley is just reiterating what we mostly already knew.

Please make this end already.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team

Is there some truth to what Cooley said? Yeah, most likely. Could he have handled it much better? Yeah, absolutely. I don't feel sorry for Cooley, all this negative feedback he brought on himself.

I still think Denver trades with San Fran for Kap and RGIII goes to the 49ers.

What if Denver takes both Kap and RGIII, let them duel it out for starter, and have a comparable if the starter gets hurt/flops. It would be going all in for their offense.

That is debatable. Cooley says that from the minute they drafted Cousins Griff had animosity towards him. It is completely possible to smear someone by talking about them as a teammate. You dont have to get into their personal life to smear them. If you left your job and an old co-worker called your new boss and said "hey i didnt know the guy outside of work but he was really a dick to the people here in the office" I would consider that a smear. Maybe even the worst kind of smear since it is much more relative to future employment. All this being said I dont think anything Cooley said would be held against Griff. His future depends 100% on whether or not he can play the position.
