Not sure I agree with the bolded part. At some point we have to sign KC to a long term deal, and I feel the sooner the cheaper. This is an important step in the rebuilding of this team.

I wonder too if the Skins will tag him again. Lots of articles suggesting that's what they are planning to do, but I think that only makes it worse because then doesn't that mean that if we want to keep him in 2018, we would have to start negotiations around 30 million per season?

Yeah I really don't know at what price it becomes smarter to tag him vs paying the money he wants on a long term deal...
