Technically, we had a first place schedule, but it's not the same as the first place schedule from years ago.

Our schedule was the same, as our NFC East brethren, outside of us playing Arizona and Carolina.

We lost both of those. Did dallas or ny lose both their positional games. I dont believe so.

Okay.... So, what? Get out of your emotions. It still doesn't change the fact that we played the same schedule outside of those two opponents.

My point is I've seen some people on multiple forums talk about the Redskins played a first place schedule. It's conveyed as if our schedule was tougher than our NFC East brethren's. I'm not saying the poster whom I initially responded to was trying to convey that message, but just stating what I've been reading.

Yes, technically, we did play a first place schedule. But, our schedule was the same as the rest of the NFC East, outside of Arizona and Carolina. Those being the first place teams, respectively, in the NFC West and South, a season ago. I just think the first place schedule talk is overplayed. It's not the same as a first place schedule from years past. That's my point.

Fair enough. My point was that from where we were a few years back, we played a "1st place schedule" which everyone agreed looked tough at the beginning of the season, and we lost our unique 2 games. NYG for example won their 2 unique games so adjusting for that against the 14 same scheduled games we were a FG away from having the same record as them. That is definitely an improved team even with our 3rd down defense and rz offense AND defense issues.
