I hope Gruden hires the best person that's out there, and not one of his Tampa or Cincy buddies.
Even more than his play calling, some personnel decisions by this defensive staff drove me crazy.

Starting with sticking with Cravens at LB.

Among other things, Cooley gave some good reasons for a defensive staff change in his "what went wrong this year?" segment:

I don't understand how you hire a guy whose only previous experience as an NFL defensive coordinator resulted in a 0-16 season.

To be fair you can't pin that all on him. If you go 0-16 you've got problems all over the place starting with a big time lack of talent.

I just have this annoying feeling Manusky is going to get the job, based on the tea leaves you can kind of read from my links above. Not sure he'd have the best resume if you could get an application from Gus Bradley, Paul Guenther, Wade Phillips and others who may be available.

I'm hoping that they'll just interview him as a courtesy to McC, but if he gets the job I feel like we'll be getting Barry 2.0. He has been fired multiple times as d-coordinator, idk how that track record doesn't speak for itself.

A live look at Gruden's meeting this morning with the defensive staff:

All of these clowns should have been fired. They deserve it.

If things fall correctly, we may get wade phillips. I'm pretty sure that's what most of us wanted 3 years ago...

Re: Gruden fires entire defensive staff

First, I would like to say that I feel like a kid on Christmas morning that Barry has been canned! Wouldn't mind seeing Wade Phillips or maybe even Gus Bradley.

Second, This is my first post on this site, I have spent some time with Extreme Skins but grew tired of that site. Did a little looking around and like the feel of this one. Hope to have some good interactions on here.....also I BS around on twitter with fellow Skins fans as well, follow me @JRouse84
