Re: The coordinators
Ah. Ok. I imagine the staff will be filled quickly before the senior bowl.

Re: The coordinators
I was shocked that Perry Fewell didn't do a better job with the DB's. It makes me wonder what's going on with that group.

Re: The coordinators
Gus Bradley was not going to happen, let's pick one of the Ryan disciples and get going.

Re: The coordinators
I'm not sure what to think of Manusky, but then I found this article...here's a few excerpts for the lazy (the guy writing this is not a Manusky fan)...
San Diego Chargers' Defense Liberated from Former Coordinator Greg Manusky | Bleacher Report "The San Diego Chargers have already embarrassed Greg Manusky by firing him after only one year as defensive coordinator. However, I'd dog pile the man. ... In 2010, Manusky was the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers. The next season, he was the Chargers' defensive boss. In each team's season with him, their productivity took a huge, unacceptable hit. ... Under Manusky, the Chargers could not get off the field on third down. A year after leading the league with opponents only converting 34 percent of their third down attempts, the Chargers put up the worst effort in the last 15 years. They allowed opponents to convert an amazing 49 percent of their attempts. ... The Chargers were barely holding back the flood gates against runners with Rivera somehow holding opponents to just 93.8 yards on the ground per game in 2010. He was doing it with smoke and mirrors, but it got done. Opposing runners ran wild under Manusky's watch, stampeding for 122.2 yards per game in 2011." Cant get off the field on 3rd down...haven't we seen that movie before? Just hire Pettine already. |

Re: The coordinators
They need to get there s*&^ together and hire someone already!!!!!!!! Whatever system the new DC sets into place, the draft needs to reflect those needs. The scouts need to know this as they evaluate talent before the draft. Will they need DEs or another NT? I hope they do know something we don't and already have their man in place, and I hope it isn't Manusky. Nobody that was on Barry's staff has any business being a DC.

Re: The coordinators
I keep thinking there may be a "mystery" candidate whose team is still in the playoffs. If so, we could possibly know who that is by Monday.
