I'd rather suck being aggressive than sitting back and letting the qbs play pitch and catch. So in that regard it's a good hire. Our floor is a more exciting style of suck.

I'm willing to give it a shot. Let's see what happens. Manusky was a good player for us and played under one of the best DC's ever. Obviously he needs more players.

Agree with Keim here that this move must work or it's likely going to cost Gruden big. Of course McCloughan is a big piece here too, we need some serious upgrades on the defensive side from free agency and the draft this offseason.

I might be wrong, but I like Gruden as our coach. I want to extend him and SM, but I agree, he better be right here. Hiring the right assistants is a huge part of the job.

Look, I was actually on board with Barry getting one more year, so I'll give Manusky a chance. But this just had blah written all over it. I want to know the reasons why we didn't get and/or choose Pettine?? He was actually my first choice even over Bradley and he's still out there.

Not extending Gruden might have cost us one of the big names. If this was the plan all along then what wait 2 weeks? Nobody wants a one year gig. Gruden might be out the door after next season if we stink.

I think Gruden has to win at least 8 games or he's gone. He will likely have another QB to try and do that with too. it's going to be hard, but he can do it if we have even an above average defense next year to take pressure off the QB.

All due respect, but piss off. How am I a troll by pointing out the obvious? We have never had a HC longer than 4 seasons since Snyder has owned the team. Next year is year 4. Are you aware of that? I'm just saying Gruden is going to have to have another winning season IMO to have a chance at either returning for year 5, or getting his extension. But you might be a smart person, would you extend your HC next season if he goes 6-10 or worse?

When you say shit like "we will likely have another qb" despite there being 0 credibility towards that "fact" besides your own delusions, I make my own conclusions. The worst part of your statement is the fact I agree, if Manusky somehow keeps our defense average or god forbid even worse next season despite the incoming talent infusion (literally Scott knows he has 1 fucking job this offseason, it's priorities 1, 2, and 3) then there's a good chance our entire staff gets canned instead of just his weak ass d-coordinator.

Besides, extensions don't mean shit. They are just meant to reassure the person who receives them. Forgotten McNabb? He was benched like two weeks after getting his extension in 2010. Go ask Ryan Grigson if that extension that he got last year is working out for him now.

If we don't win at least 9 next year I'd be shocked. I think we're actually going to be a threat next year. SM has set us up perfectly for this off season. We have money and extra picks. 2017 is gonna be a good year for us. HTTR.
