Re: Cool read!

This was a decent article. I personally have no problem with any article I've read (I believe) from him. Its the Art guy that always puts a divide up and makes an attempt to alienate and intimidate someone who doesn't have the same opinion.

Re: Cool read!

The writer pointed out the same thing my brother said the other day while watching the game against K.C. -- when Washington fumbles the ball, it bounces all over the field. But when Washington's opponents fumble, it conveniently bounces right back to them.

It's about time that ball bounces the other way.

I take a slightly different tact towards these columns than Om does, in that I attempt to judge the issue most discussed among the fans and form an opinion based on that to put forth in a column. Given the highly divided nature of recent discussions it is likely either side one lands on that would have a problem with writing that takes the other.

Such is the nature of having an opinion. Indeed, I was very hard on those on one side of the most recent LaVar debate due to the inane, ludicrous, fictional nature of the position most put forth. But, that was merely the content because it was all there was.

The article on the Ramsey/Brunell situation was similar where I felt shame in fellow fans for their ignorant, baseless revolt on Gibbs happening throughout the Brunell/Ramsey debate. Likely, if one's inclined to feel that way on an issue, it's not likely the column associated with it will be designed to bring folks together, but, rather, to jolt the sensibilities of those unwilling to let simple facts enter the equation.

I can say that for those on the LaVar side, given the content outlined attributed to them, and for those on the Ramsey side earlier, if they were bothered, intimidated or insulted, good. That's just how those of us on the other side felt about them .

My point is that that kind of attitude has no place on the Redskins official site. I could understand if you had that kind of attitude about a situation that is not in "the family" but to alot of skins fans, these are family matters. The fact that you feel (or whoever is responsible for putting your blog on the skins official site) that this is an appropriate public forum to air out our "dirty laundry" and go on a personal attack rampage towards anyone who questions moves the skins make is embarassing and petty.

We already have the reputation that we are fans who forgot how to win... and now we have this big experiment where fans can report on redskins.com, and you're using that to call out your fellow fan-base?

On a personal note, I can't help but question the whole Lavar situation. Something about it just doesn't add up, and our organization does have the reputation of pulling some stunts from time to time. Whether merited or not, it has to creep in some of our minds, as we watch this situation unfold, so when I see that I have 2 choices in the matter: either agree with you, or I'm a close-minded moron with a man-crush, I get a little riled up... and I'm only a guy who kind-of questions the decisions.
