If it was just the drinking, I'm fairly certain they had built-in contingency plans to make sure the machine kept running (while riding it out with SM). “I don’t know what their issue is with him,” one player said, “but all the players love Scot.”

i've been around some very very bad alcoholics . . . there is NO question in my mind that SM has been hitting the sauce very very very heavily . . . AND, multiple sources say it was all SM's decision to bail on the combine . . . and then he kept drinking and could not be here for the start of FA either . . . sorry, but that is on him . . . period . . . only think snyder and allen are guilty of this time is hiring a drunk and expecting it not to be a problem.

I wonder who the team official is who's being quoted in this article? I would be willing to bet it's Allen or Cooley. But even one of the players said he was drunk. Not good.
